September is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month (#AlzheimersAwarenessMonth)

MRI OF BRAIN - FREE MSSeptember is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, and in recognition of this Nova Cells Institute would like share some good news about how it is tackling this insidious condition and getting impressive results.

First off, the Nova Cells approach to treating Alzheimer’s disease  takes into account the latest thinking among scientists and others on the disease processes that characterize it and how to interfere with and impede them.

So what processes do leading edge researchers think underlie Alzheimer’s disease? In-a-word AD is a protein misfolding disease (proteinopathy), caused by plaque accumulation of abnormally folded amyloid beta protein, and tau protein in the brain (Tauopathy), which form the neurofibrillary tangles which are a hallmark of the disease. Many scientists believe that AD is initiated by viruses, trauma, prions, inflammation or other factors.

Building on this, NCIM’s approach to combating AD includes:

  • Countering aberrant prion activity and spread in the CNS.
  • Significantly reducing neuroinflammation.
  • Accelerating the digestion & elimination of misfolded proteins in neurons and other cells including hyperphosphorylated tau and alpha synuclein.
  • A diet, supplement & drug regimen designed to improve cognition plus memory formation & recall.

But, Nova Cells goes the extra mile which boils down to this: While many stem cell medicine clinics just “throw” stem cells at Alzheimer’s disease (i.e. they give AD patients infusions of nonembryonic stem cells), Nova Cells offers a much more sophisticated & innovative approach to slowing progression and helping regain lost ground which includes https://ncimx.wordpress.com/2015/07/01/messed-up-cellular-garbage-disposal-system-found-to-play-a-role-in-alzheimers-disease-nova-cells-beacon-factor-coaxes-lysosomes-to-do-their-job/.

Tips for preventing & reversing cognitive decline & dementia from Nova Cells Institute doctors

NCIM N SIGN - JULY 2013For many years now Nova Cells doctors have suggested that people with mild cognitive decline or early stage dementia consider ingesting extra virgin coconut oil on a daily basis. They based this recommendation on various reports of improvements in people with these conditions after doing this. Then in 2012 CBN aired this segment which underscores the potential of coconut oil in helping combat dementia:

http://cbn.com/tv/embedplayer.aspx?bcid=1472017228001

The website Snopes.com calls the use of coconut oil for remediating dementia (especially Alzheimer’s) “unproven” http://www.snopes.com/medical/disease/coconutoil.asp, which is absolutely true. However, as there are now many reports of dementia patient improvements on the heels of high dose coconut oil use, something Nova Cells Institute doctors and scientists have documented as well, it would be more accurate to call use of this oil as “unproven but promising” (And while anecdotes or case histories do not constitute hard proof in the scientific sense, many such cases can point to “smoke in the woodpile”).

Other measures deemed of merit in preventing and remediating dementia:

Reducing weight

Addressing inflammation (which fat tissue contributes to). One over-the-counter anti-inflammatory natural supplement Nova Cells doctors often recommend to patients is Zyflamend. Note: Nova Cells has no commercial or other vested interest in this product (Other than wanting people with memory and cognition issues to regain lost ground).

Exercise

Ideally eliminating fats from animal sources (A vegetarian or vegan diet may be best)

Egb 761 standardized Ginkgo Biloba. This botanic preparation has garnered some evidence of efficacy in mild cognitive decline and such in various studies such as this one: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25352453

EGb 761 is available in the US and Canada in the form of Nature’s Way Ginkgold. There is some evidence that 240 mg daily or more is effective in people with cognitive decline or diagnosed dementia. Note: Nova Cells has no commercial or other vested interest in this product (Other than wanting people with memory and cognition issues to regain lost ground).

People with dementias such as Alzheimer’s and Lewy Body dementia need additional help beyond what is outlined above. Their brains produce aggregated and misfolded proteins such as alpha-synuclein and TDP-46. Click here to read more with respect to Alzheimer’s (Click here to read more about Nova Cell’s approach to treating Alzheimer’s disease). Thankfully, NCIM has developed regimens that help slow the brain’s production of these aberrant proteins as well as hasten their elimination. When used in combination with laboratory primed stem cells (click here and go to page 8 to learn more) and Nova Cell’s proprietary Beacon Factor the results have often been quite impressive: Click here
